Jefferson, March 3 – Mrs. Lucinda Shearer, widow of John F. Shearer, died at her home here at 9 o'clock Sunday night. Mrs. Shearer has been suffering from a complication of diseases for several months, but was not confined to bed until last Wednesday, when she sustained a paralytic stroke. Mrs. Shearer was aged 78 years.

She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Adam Rohrbaugh, Manheim Township; Elmer Shearer, Codorus Township; Mrs. Wesley Copenheaver, Jefferson; Samuel Shearer, North Codorus Township; John Shearer, Codorus Township; Ervin Shearer, Codorus Township; Chester Shearer, York; Mrs. Frank Spangler, Jefferson; Mrs. Francis Cornbower, Codorus Township, and Sarah Shearer, at home.

Two sisters and one brother also survive: Jesse Sterner and Mrs. Jacob Brenneman, Codorus Township, and Mrs. Jacob Shearer, Jefferson.
