Mrs. Mary Sophronia Cox, 83, Lovell, died in the North Big Horn hospital Thursday morning.
She was born March 1, 1879, at Annabelle, Utah, (to Joseph and Mary Roberts Asay). She had lived in the Big Horn basin for 61 years. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Asay.
She married Arlen Cox, Jan. 15, 1942 at Logan, Utah. He died about six years ago.
The verdict, which did not specify voluntary or involuntary manslaughter, was returned at 4 p.m. by a panel which got the case at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. May Millett, Bremerton, Wash., and Mrs. Ella Allphin, Mrs. H.T. Dillon and Mrs. Sarah Lynch, all from Lovell, and a brother, Vivin Asay, Mesa, Ariz.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Lovell LDS church, the Bishop Scott Welch officiating. Burial will be in the Lovell city cemetery. Haskell funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
