Bertha M. Huber, 92, died at midnight July 9, 2009, at VanCrest Nursing Home, Delphos.

She was born Dec. 6, 1916, in Bath Township to John W. and Susan R. Wampler Alger, who preceded her in death. She married Lawrence J. Huber, who died Nov. 29, 1983.

Mrs. Huber was a volunteer at WTLW-TV. She started the prayer line, was involved with Morning Light and had a devotional called "Treasures" at WTLW.

Survivors include three sons, Virgil (Lorraine) Huber, of Bethesda, Md., Jim (Pat) Huber, of Chaddick, Ill., and Paul (Sharon) Huber, of St. Louis; three daughters, Janet (Phil) Garlington, of Plano, Texas, Patricia (David) Hykes, of Ankeny, Iowa, and Juanita (Darryl) Deardorf, of Elgin, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Huber; a brother, Carroll Alger; and two sisters, Beulah Hoake and Bessie Miller.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Pleasant View Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Martin Moyer will officiate. Burial will be in Lewis Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice.
