Sarah Shepard was also known as Tompson.
She was born about 1636 at England. She was the daughter of Capt. Edward Shepard and Violet Stanley. On 25 April 1656 Sarah married Deacon Samuel Thompson, son of Rev. William Thompson and Abigail (?) Sarah Shepard died on Monday, 15 January 1679/80 at Braintree, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. She was buried at Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, Her gravestone reads,
"In memory of Mrs. Sarah Tompson, late wife of Mr. Samuel Tompson, aged 43 years. Deceased Jan 15. 1679."
