Memorial services for George Hamilton Smith of Palm Desert will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Palm Desert Community Church.
Mr. Smith, 81, died Saturday in Rancho Mirage after a long illness. He was a regional administrator for Standard Oil Co. of California for 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; one son, Wayne Smith of Thousand Oaks; one sister, Mae Church of Lemoore; one brother, Lorenzo Smith of Oakland; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Burial will be in Newman.
