Helen P. Choate was the d/o Abel Choate and Caroline Rhoda Talcott. Her middle name was probably "Proctor, her father's mother's maiden name)

She married twice: m1 Fayette Hoyte Bissell 31 Dec 1894 in Winteset, Madison Co, Iowa and m2 Richard Marshall Mallam in 1904.

Mrs. Helen Mallam
St. Marys -- Mrs. Helen C. Mallam, 92, St. Marys, died shortly after arrival at a Manhattan hospital Tuesday.

She was born April 27, 1877, at Winterset, Iowa, and lived at Manhattan 34 years before she moved to St. Marys seven months ago. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Manhattan.

Her husband, Richard M. Mallam, died in 1938.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Mallam, Manhattan, and Charles P. Mallam, Springfield, Ore.; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Ellis and Mrs. Fayra Casebeer, both of St. Marys, and Mrs. Lela Manley, Seattle, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Courser Funeral Home, Manhattan. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery, Manhattan. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church, St. Marys.
