CLEVELAND-Our loving father, grandfather and longtime friend, John Ward Tucker passed away peacefully July 21, 2006 at the age of 90. He was born Jan. 1, 1916 in Cleveland, Utah to Moses and Florence Ward Tucker.
On May 3, 1937, Ward married Cecilia Ruth Jensen, in Price; she died April 25, 1994. He was a lifelong resident of Cleveland where he enjoyed many wonderful years farming with his family.
He loved being in the outdoors, especially when he was participating in rodeos and racing horses. He was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America, Hiawatha Local #6363.
Ward will be dearly missed by his family and a community of friends.
He is survived by his sons, Roy (Deloris) Tucker, Huntington; Voy (Clistie) Tucker, Moab; Deloye Tucker, Cleveland; sister, Madge Nelson, Cleveland; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Cloye Tucker; four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service was held Tues. July 25, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home. Family was at Mitchells Tuesday one hour prior to service. Interment in Cleveland City Cemetery.
