Heart Attack Is Fatal Tuesday For Mrs. M.L. Scott
Mrs. Marion L. Scott, a resident of the Carnegie area since 1908, died unexpectedly about six o'clock Tuesday evening while starting to cross a street near her home at 104 South Delaware,
Mrs. Scott suffered a heart attach in September of last year and had not been well since. She and a neighbor, Mrs. O.R. Adams Sr., had started to cross a street to visit with other neighbors when she collapsed and died shortly after.,
Inez Lothel Anderson was born October 30, 1906, at Armuchee, Ga., and moved to the Carnegie area when she was two years of age. She was married to Marion L. Scott on August 14, 1926. They resided on a farm northeast of town, later moving to the home in town.
She is survived by her husband of the home; one son, Earl Scott, Bethany; three daughters, Thelma Fern Scott, Los Angeles, Mrs. O.R. Adams Jr., Eakly, and Mrs. Frank McRae, Carnegie; two step-sons, Norval Lee Scott, El Monte, Calif., and Sturlin Scott, Pasadena, Calif.; six sisters, Mrs. Dan Sharry, Weatherford, Mrs. Coyle Newell, Anadarko, Mrs. Esther Barton, Bethany, Mrs. Park Reece, Glenn, Calif., and Mrs. John Roberts, Chickasha; two brothers, Calvin Anderson, Farmington, N.M., and Ennis Anderson, Earlimart, Calif.; seven grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Carnegie First Baptist church. Rev. James Weston, pastor, and Rev. Bob Williams, Church of the Nazarene pastor, will officiate. Interment will be at Alfalfa.
