Born in West Rockhill Township, he was the son of Peter W. Thorn and his wife, Susan, of Newville, and Lynn (Hoke) Carpenter, of Perkasie.
Jason was employed as a mortgage broker. Previously, he had worked as a salesman for Nextel.
A self-taught drummer, he was also an avid golfer.
In addition to his parents, Jason will be lovingly remembered by his son, Evan R., of Pennsburg; a brother, Justin S. Carpenter, of Perkasie; and his paternal grandmother, Dolores K. Thorn, of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ryan N. Thorn, his paternal grandfather, William P. Thorn; and his maternal grandparents, Paul W. and Elizabeth A. (Applegate) Hoke.
A gathering and reception was held on May 22, 2017, at Calvary Church, Souderton, PA. Burial was at Sellersville Cemetery.
