"Betty Lou Chambers Richards, 90, Leavenworth, died Thursday, September 27, 2007, at St. John Hospital

Betty was born March 26, 1917, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Ernest and Ida Hoffman Frederick.

In 1936 she married Sam E. Chambers, who died in 1967, and she later married Francis G. Richards who died in 2000.

She was a member of the Mother Church of Christian Science in Boston and in recent years attended Christ Unity Church of Leavenworth.

Survivors include daughter Judy L. Strick (Jerry), Encinitas, CA, son Jack E. Chambers (Dianne), Portsmouth, NH, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 30, 2007, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 1, 2007, at the funeral chapel. Rev. Thomas F. Thorpe
will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society."
