On April 8, 1903, she married Alma Oscar Larson. . Alma was born in Millville to Ola and Hannah Nielson Larson. He was raised by his stepmother, Hanna Anderson Larson. He attended local schools, and he developed a great love for music. He played the clarinet, violin, accordion and piano and was a member of the Brass Band. He served a mission to Sweden.
In 1911, the family moved to what is now Nibley where Alma farmed and raised all kinds of fruit and vegetables. Rachel died May 26, 1915, leaving five children, including a five-week-old baby.
