William's actual date of death is 31 July 1954 as recorded on his death certificate. Seems odd that his family would let the mistake on his tombstone stay as is, but he did in fact die in 1954. Posted his death certificate on his memorial page. Thanks to GP Genealogy (48656977) for this update.
