On January 23, 1920, Esther married Parley Alfred Winberg. Parley was born in Millville the son of John and Josephine Sorenson Winberg. He learned the trade of blacksmithing from his father.
Esther's activities centered around her home and children. She was interested in her children's friends and saw that they were entertained and fed when they visited.
Parley was known throughout Northern Utah as a blacksmith and an expert in horse shoeing. He also worked for the Forest Service, spending days in the canyon, riding one horse and carrying his pack on another. The family lived in the "Relief Society House" for many years. After the death of Parley's parents, he and Esther moved into the family home and Parley took over his father's old blacksmith shop.
They were the parents of: Connie W. Scrowther, La Von and Merlin A. Winberg.
