The couple settled in Bath County and had eight known children: Nicholas McIntire (1802-1859), Benjamin H. McIntire (1804-1845), Van S. McIntire (1807-1842), Malvina D. McIntire-Congleton (1808-1878), Amanda McIntire-Metcalfe (1811-1893), James McIntire (1813-1866), Mary McIntire-Tabor (1818-1858), and George W. McIntire (1821-1865).
After Elizabeth's husband John died in Mar 1826, Elizabeth remarried on Dec 15, 1827 to Robert M. Elliott (3 May 1777-26 Mar 1851) in Montgomery County, Kentucky.
Elizabeth died Feb 17, 1855 in Kentucky and is buried in the Jones Cemetery with her first husband John S. McIntire and several children and family members.
The inscription on her headstone reads: "In Memory of Elizabeth Elliott. January 31, 1783 - February 17, 1855."
