David Holderman was born in Chester County, Pennsylvania to Jacob and Magdalena (Halderman) Holderman. David left his family in Pennsylvania and moved to Ross County, Ohio and resided in Hallsville, Ohio at the end of his life. On March 28, 1818 he married Rebecca (Halderman) Holderman in Pickaway County, Ohio. Rebecca and David raised six children: Oliver, Elihu, Francis, Levi, Mary and Margaret. He died at the age of 70 years in Hallsville.
