Mrs. Martha Estella Pellett, 73, who resided at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Steele, 342 Pipestone street died at 11:55 a. m. Monday in Mercy hospital. She had been in ill health for the past six years and an invalid for three years.
Mrs. Pellett was born Nov. 27, 1887, in Koscuisko county, Ind., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Bareham. She taught school in Koscuisko county for several years.
On April 7, 1912 she married Lee Otto Pellett at the home of her parents in Pierceton, Ind. Following their marriage they moved to South Bend, Ind., where Mr. Pellett was employed by the Shedler Brothers Furniture company until 1925. The family then moved to a farm near Lakeville, Ind. Mr. Pellett died Nov. 30, 1947. After his death, Mrs. Pellett moved into Lakeville where she resided until coming here to live with her daughter two years ago.
Mrs. Pellett was a member of the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren and the Mothers club of Lakeville.
Besides her daughter, Mrs. Steele, survivors include two sons, Lorenzo A. Pellett of South Bend and Paul Pellett of Mishawaka, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Stahl of Pierceton. Two brothers preceded her in death.

The body will be taken to the Brink funeral home in Lakeville Wednesday morning where funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. The Rev. H. Gardner Andersen, pastor of the First Congregational church, of Benton Harbor, will officiate.
Burial will be in the Southlawn cemetery in St. Joseph county, Ind.
