Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. W. D. Sherwood at the Baptist Church. Interment was made in the Sardis Cemetery. Besides a host of friends, Mrs. Evans leaves to mourn her departure one son, G. W. Evans, three daughters, Mrs. J. L. Shelton and Mrs. John Shelton of Sardis, and Mrs. Ben Sermons of Montgomery, a large number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
