Mrs. Bishop was born on September 16, 1917 in Bridgeport,Texas. She graduated in 1938 from Bridgeport High School.
She was a resident of Denver City since 1948, moving from New Castle. She married Chester Horace Bishop on May 10,1939 in Graham. She worked for the Denver City School system
for 27 years and was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.
She loved people and loved to visit and talk about the Bible.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Father and Mother, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
She is survived by one son; Nolan Chester Bishop and wife Teresa of Graham, one daughter; Lanita Kay Grandon and husband Billy of Denver City and four sisters; Ola McDaniel of Cleburne, Agnes Carpenter of Bridgeport, Abbie Fritz of Silver
Spring, MD and Alva Lee Measell of Frederick, MD, seven grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at the Trinity Baptist
Church with Rev. Gilbert Rameriz and Rev. Steve Pierson officiated. Burial was at the Denver
City Memorial Park.
