Mrs. Sarah A. Cobb, Dead
Mrs. Sarah A. Cobb, daughter of John and Ruth Luckett, was born in Lincoln county, Mo. Aug. 29, 1860, and died after a severe illness of several months, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bartley Johnson, 5 miles west of Wellsville, April 2, 1930.
In the year 1878 she was married to Shelton T. Cobb, and to this union three children were born, two sons and one daughter. Her husband died January 31, 1921. In 1895 Mrs. Cobb united with the Loutre Baptist church, was baptized by Rev. R. E. McQuie, and ever lived a true and faithful member. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, friend and neighbor, and will be greatly missed by her many friends and loved ones.
She leaves to lament her departure two sons, John A. Cobb of Montgomery City, Shelton T. Cobb of Patterson, Mo., and her daughter, Mrs. Bartley Johnson of Wellsville; two sisters, one brother, ten grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted April 4th at 1:30 p.m. by Rev. R. E. McQuie, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bartley Johnson, near Wellsville, and after short services at the grave the body was laid to rest in the Montgomery cemetery.
