Darenda Sue (Carr) Hodgson, 58, of Gainesville died Nov. 19, 2003, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. She was born Jan. 29, 1945, in Gainesville, the daughter of Roy Carr and Maggie (Hayes) Carr/Anderson. She married Wayne Hodgson in 1990 in Orange Cove, Calif.
She was a nurse.
Mrs. Hodgson is survived by three sons, Jerry Lynn and his wife, Diana, of Western Grove, Ark., Michael Lynn and his wife, Christina, of Osage Beach and Keith Massey of Hardenville; one daughter, Lori Massey of Gainesville; three grandchildren, Stephanie Lynn, Dakota Massey and Megan Massey; three step-grandsons; her mother and stepfather, Maggie and Berman Anderson of Gainesville; one brother, Roy Earl Carr and his wife, Dawn, and her son, Jarod Gerkhardt, of Bar Nunn, Wyo.; two nieces, Regina Berg and her husband, Richard, and two children, Alan and Kaylee, of Sparta, and Sherina Adamson and her husband, Tim, and their children, Derek and Taylor of Nixa; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Wayne Hodgston and Major C. Massey; her father, Roy Carr; her grandparents, Jack and Marie Carr of Republic and Jewel and Doris Hayes of Gainesville.
A memorial will be held at a later date in the Mammoth Cemetery.
