Nelson V Fink, 74, 511 E Waterford St, Wakarusa, died at 3:30 am Tuesday, Sept. 22, at his home. Mr Fink was born April 30, 1896, near Wakarusa to William and Mary (Mitschlen) Fink. His first marriage was to Rosa Cripe, who died Feb 5, 1946. On April 5, 1947, he married Clara (Laughman) Fish. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Howard of Bristol, Harold of Iola, Kan, and Milton of Nappanee Route 1; Four daughters, Mrs Henry (Clara) Moneyheffer and Mrs Merl (Bernice) Hamilton, both of Nappanee, Mrs Alvin (Mildred) Elliott, Goshen, and Mrs Joseph (Lulu) Kirkpatrick, Elkhart; one sister, Mrs Walter Pletcher, Elkhart; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Two daughters and a brother preceded him in death. Mr Fink, a retired carpenter, was a member of the First Church of God in Nappanee and the UB of C and J of America No 413. Friends may call at the Yoder-Wright Funeral Home in Nappanee after 7 pm tonight (Wednesday) until noon Friday when the body will be taken to lie in state at the First Church of God until services there at 1:30 pm. The Rev. James Geahlen, pastor, will officiate with burial in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
