Claude Swanson Bourne, 74, of Falmouth in Stafford County, died Thursday, June 29, at his residence.

Born in Stafford, he worked at the FMC plant and was a commercial fisherman for many years. He also worked at Virginia Sash & Door. He was a World War II Army veteran and the widower of Maude V. Bourne.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy K. Wrightson of Fredericksburg; five sisters, Donna Rose, Juanita Smith, Nannie Turner, Mary Newton and Ellen Bourne, all of Stafford; a brother, Joe Bourne of Falmouth; a half brother, Ted Bourne of Stafford; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, with whom he made his home.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Quantico National Cemetery with the Rev. Ernest Babel officiating.

Pallbearers will be Chad Ingram and Shawn Ingram, his grandsons; and Bobby Stevens, Claude Stevens, Roy Rose and Henry Bourne.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel.
