Steward J Bathrick passed away at his home on. Church street Sunday evening, June 4th, at the age of 84 years He suffered a fall about a month ago, injuring his shoulder, and a week ago suffered a stroke. Mr Bathrick was the son of Jeremiah and Mariah Bathrick, and was born in Gallatin Dec 19, 1860. On June l3 1881 he married Augusta Cole and if he had lived until June 13 they would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. They came to Pine Plains 33 years ago from Gallatin.
Besides his widow about 35 nephews, nieces and cousins survive,including Fred Fingar, Arthur Decker, Stewart Sigler and Mrs J Hinsdale
Funeral services were held at the Roberts Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, the Rev C M Moser of the Presbyterian church, of which Mr Bathrick was a member, officiating. Interment was in Vedders cemetery. Nephews acted as pallbearers.
