Lee Milleson, past sixty-three years of age, and for many years a resident of Clarinda, died unexpectedly at his home here Monday morning. He had been section foreman for the C. B. & Q. railway for many years and had gone to work as usual Monday. He was unable to remain at work, however, and died while being examined by a physician at his home. Mr. Milleson was born in Lee county, near Keokuk, on March 15, 1863, his age at death being sixty-three years, eight months and seven days. When 15 years of age he moved with his parents to Taborville, Mo. Eight years later, he moved to Skidmore, Mo., where he was married to Rozella Hudson, January 21, 1886. To this union seven children were born, six of whom are living, LeRoy, having passed away in infancy. The living are: Pearl of Clarinda, Mrs. Harlan Myers of Shambaugh, Iowa, Fred of Skidmore, Mo., and Allene, John and Leah at home. He, with his family, moved to Amazonia, Mo., in 1891, and to Maitland, Mo., in 1903. In 1914, he moved to Clarinda where he had lived until the time of his passing. He had worked continuously for the C. B. & Q Railway company for 40 years, 34 years of this time being section foreman. He had been an industrious and hard working man and a good provider for his family. He will be missed not only by his family but the community will feel the loss of his going. The vacancy made in the personnel of the company he had worked for so long will be keenly felt by his employers. Funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. B.F. Hall and burial was in the Clarinda Cemetery. Music was furnished by Margaret Shockey and Mr. and Mrs. Hall.
