Henrietta "Reta" Smyth Taylor Lambert passed away on January 7, 1997 of causes incident to age.


Reta was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 7, 1903 to Fred and Ada Catherine Smyth Taylor.


She married Charles Ivan Lambert on March 19, 1925 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Charles passed away on June 21, 1967.


Reta served in many organizations of the LDS Church, as a teacher and officer. She was president of the Thirty-First Ward Relief Society, Park Stake, for several years. She was a top-notch stenographer and secretary and worked for various companies off and on until the age of 70.


Survivors include two sons, Fred Ivan (Kathryn) Lambert of West Valley City; and David Taylor (Carroll) Lambert of Boise, ID; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; three brothers, Richard, Wilbur and James; and two sisters, May Bushman, and Edith.


Funeral Services will be held at the Russon Brothers Salt Lake Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, Salt Lake City, on January 10, 1997 at 1 p.m., where friends may call on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Friday from 11:30 to 12:45 a.m.
Burial will follow in the Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East College Street (4580 South), Millcreek Township, Utah.
