Kokomo Tribune (Kokomo, Indiana) - 1950 - February 20

Greentown, Ind., Feb. 19 - (Tribune Area Special) - Mrs. Lula Belle Roland, 84, died at 4:45 o'clock Sunday morning following a long illness at the home of her brother, John McGraw, Swayzee route 1.

She was born April 18, 1865, in Fayette county, Ind., daughter of Francis and Nancy Jane McGraw. She moved to Western Grant county in 1866. She was married in 1914 to George Roland who preceded her in death August 24, 1945. There were no children.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Cora Newkirk of California, Mrs. Carrie Quinn of Chicago, and Mrs. Vesta Cohee of Greentown; one brother, John McGraw, Swayzee route 1, and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Antiock Christian church.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Mast and Pickett funeral chapel, Greentown, with the Rev Chester Mitchell of Windfall in charge. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery. Friends may call at the McGraw residence after noon Monday.
