Samuel Collingwood, 80, was laid to rest in McComb Union Cemetery Monday afternoon following funeral services at the residence on South St.
Rev. W.L. Alexander of Findlay, officiated and arrangements were in charge of the Harmon Funeral Home.
Mr. Collingwood, who had been ill for two and a half years, died at 2:15 o'clock Saturday morning at the South Street home. He and his wife moved in from the farm eight weeks ago to provide a home for their two grandchildren, Frank and Blaine Baker, whose mother, Mrs. Hazel Baker passed away April 2. The Collingwoods had lived their entire married life on a farm two and a half miles west of here.
He was born in Liberty Township to Samuel and Sophia ( Hefner) Collingwood and lived in this county all his life. On Feb. 2, 1888, he married Ella Mae Kinsey, who survives together with a daughter, Mrs. Lee Hanes of Chicago; a brother, Jonathon Collingwood of Blanchard Twp.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was one of a family of 11 children.
