Mrs. George Laidley Dies Of Pneumonia

School Superintendent's Wife and Life Long Resident of Kanawha County Passes.

After a short illness from pneumonia, Mrs. Cora Pinkston Bradford Laidley, wife of Superintendent George S. Laidley of the city schools, died at the family residence, 1427 Leo street, Sunday morning. Pneumonia developed following an attack of influenza. She was sixty-four years old. Mrs. Laidley was born at the old Bradford home place near Marmet on March 14, 1856. She was the eldest daughter of the late Major William A. Bradford and Amelia Wilcox Bradford.
She was married to George S. Laidley on September 30, 1860, and since that time has lived in Charleston.
One daughter and three sons survive. They are Mrs. William T. Buck, Jr., William D. Laidley, of Beckley; Bradford B. Laidley, of Pittsburgh; and George B. Laidley, of Charleston. One brother, W. A. Bradford, of New York city, also survives. The children reached their mother's bedside before, her death.
The funeral, which will be private, will be held Tuesday afternoon. It is requested that friends send no flowers. Mrs. Laidley was a member of St. John's Episcopal church and Rev. R. D. Roller, rector emeritus of the church, will conduct the funeral services.
