23 Feb 1945: Funeral services were conducted this morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Frantz Funeral Home, 922 Willow Street, for George B. McClelland Derr, a native of Lebanon, who died early this week at Williamsport, where he made his home for the past quarter century or more. He was the Superintendent for many years of Zion Lutheran Sunday school, this city, and the acting pastor of that church. The Rev. Cleon F. Powell officiated at today's service at the funeral home., and also at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, where interment was made. Members of the Zion Lutheran congregation functioned as bearers. Funeral director Frederick S. Frantz was in charge of arrangements. [Lebanon Daily News]
