Ranson's were neighbors of the the Dawe family. Hannah's uncle was also a coal miner and also lived in the area. Nana married Fred Dawe in June 1890 in N. Skelton. They had six children, three who lived to adulthood. In 1904, her husband took the family to Canada to live. They settled in far north Ontario.
In 1919, the family migrated to the Detroit area through Toronto. They settled in Detroit for 15-20 years before she and Fred traveled to California where they made their home outside Los Angeles. She preceded Fred in death by three years. She's buried in Inglewood Park near him.
