Lois Hoyt was the daughter of John & Bertha Hoyt. She worked with her father, having to take the place of brother Paul who died at 15, in the garage where she gained a mechanical background for hewr work at Lake City and Pratt Whitney. She attended Castors Beauty Academy and worked as a beautician. She was also a seamstress in a designing room in a dress factory in St Louis. Lois made music her hobby and played organ/piano for church , funerals, weddings, Eastern Star ect.
