Mr. Wiggins was born on Friday February 13, 1914. The 8th. of 10 children all born and raised in Stapleton, Alabama. He and his family resided in Pensacola, Florida from 1956 to the present. He was a carpenter by trade and known as a good and just man.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Mary Magdalene Mosley Wiggins Hayes, four daughters, Charlotte Zinner of Robertsdale, Al., Helen Chavers of Cantonment, Fl., Sharon Young of Pensacola, Fl., and Martha Mathis of Cantonment, FL., three sons, Gerald Wiggins and Donald Wiggins, both of Gonzalez, Fl., Leon Wiggins of Hollywood, Fl., 19 grandchildren, two sisters, Fannie Hadley and Jessie Hadley, four brothers, Thomas Wiggins, Lonnie Wiggins, Henry Wiggins, and Ernest Wiggins.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 1982, in the Chapel of Faith Chapel Funeral Home with Minister Hall Goodman officiating.
Interment will follow at 12:00 pm at the Old Founders Primitive Baptist Cemetery (Byrd Cemetery), in Stapleton, Al. with Faith Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Active pallbearers will be Jack Hadley, James Wiggins, J.D. Hadley, George Henry, James Hadley, and Reubin Hadley.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Grady Bardin, Martin Enfinger, Les Curley and Frederick J.K. Gilmore.
