Funeral of Mr. Blaney. The funeral of Michael F. Blaney will be held at St. Augustine's church Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock. The Holy Name society and members of Orcutt post, No. 79, G.A R., will attend in a body. The active bearers will be chosen from friends of Mr. Blaney in his life time and an honorary escort will be furnished by the G. A. R. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery at Riverside.

Well Known Citizen of Kalamazoo Passed Away of Heart Disease Friday Night.
Michael F. Blaney, a well-known citizen of Kalamazoo. died of heart disease Friday night at his home on John street. Mr. Blaney was born in Portage, N. Y. He moved to Kalamazoo in 1862 and enlisted In the Thirtieth Michigan regiment, serving until the close of the war. He was a member of the famous Eureka and Vigilant hose companies, and at one-time assistant chief of the fire department. He was married in 1880 to Miss Agnes Roseman who survives him. He also leaves one son, Louis; a brother, John H. Blaney; four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Wilson and Mrs. James Rooney of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Katherine Driscoll of Chicago, and Miss Lizzie Blaney of Pontiac, Mich. Kalamazoo Gazette April 9, 1905 Page 3
