. Bill Yates GRAPELAND - Services for Bill Yates, 62, Jasper, are set for 4 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Grapeland with the Revs. James Mosley and Kennith Mobley officiating. . Burial will be in the Refuge Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Grapeland. Mr. Yates died Thursday evening at his home after a sudden illness. He was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Stonewall County. He was a Baptist and lived in Jasper five years, and lived in Grapeland and Diboll most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired painter and security guard. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Florena Collins Yates, Jasper; two daughters, Lane Camp and Nikki Carnley, both of Diboll; two sons, Bill Bean Yates and Noel Drew Yates, both of Diboll; a sister, ImaGene Gay, New Boston; two brothers, Leroy Yates, Grapeland, and Otis- Yates, Warren; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Nephews will serve as pallbearers
