Glen B. "Mutt" Frank was one of my grandfather's younger brothers. He was stationed in the south Pacific on Guadalcanal (a Solomon Island) and was killed when he boarded the Coast Guard's USS Serpens to visit a friend while the friend was in port. While on the ship, it exploded killing most on board, including Mutt. He is not actually buried in the New Hope Cemetery. Whatever remains were found are buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC as a part of the USS Serpens memorial. They were moved there from the south Pacific around 1950 or 1951.
