Alvin D. Dahl, 92 of East Grand Forks, Minnesota died Friday, November 7, 2003 at Valley Eldercare, Grand Forks.

Alvin was born November 3, 1911 in Cottonwood, Minnesota, the son of Lars Christian and Tori Dahl. He grew up and went to school at Hitterdahl, Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Helen Lee on March 12, 1932 in Moorhead, Minnesota. Alvin was an electrician, he graduated from Coyne Electrical and Radio School in Chicago on January 4, 1935. He did electrical work for the railroad, operated his own shop in Crookston and later traveled around the Midwest working on the missile sites. He settled in East Grand Forks in 1965. He was the Master Electrician on the Ralph Engelstad arena before his retirement in 1974. He was a 58 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and helping his neighbors.

Alvin is survived by his 2 daughters, Lois Ristau of St. Louis, MO, Pam (Pete) Zavoral of East Grand Forks, Son-in-law John Brynsvold, West Monroe LA, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a sister, Theressa Coughlin of Fargo. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Helen on August 11, 1966, daughter Audrey Brynsvold, son Burton, brothers Clarence and Olaf Dahl.

Services: 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at the Stennes Funeral Home chapel in East Grand Forks, Minnesota.

Visitation: 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM on Monday, November 10, 2003 at Stennes Funeral Home.

Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
