Isaac J. Collar, 78, Dies; Hold Funeral Tuesday Afternoon
Funeral services for Isaac J. Collar, 78, who died at the home of his son, Ray, Saturday evening, were held Tuesday afternoon in the Sheets funeral home with the Rev. Orville H. Shroer officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Zion cemetery.

Mr. Collar was born May 10, 1868, in Muscatine county, son of Jesse and Ann Mayer Collar. As a boy, he attended schools in Muscatine county and completed his education in Cedar county schools.

He was married to Helen Wirick March 31, 1891, and they were the parents of two daughters. Mrs. Collar died in 1896.

On April 5, 1905, he was married to Nellie McDaniel of Rock Island, Ill., and to this union five sons and four daughters were born. Four sons and two daughters preceded him in death.

Surviving him are one sister, Mrs. Charles Little of Los Angeles, Calif.; and five children, Mrs. Alma Kimberling, Tipton; Mrs. Tessie Wilford, Long Grove; Ray Collar, Tipton; Mrs. Viola Hauschild, Stockton; Mrs. Pearl Irving, Ostego, Mich.; 23 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
