Chesterton--Beatrice G. Witte, 72, Chesterton, died this morning (Oct. 13, 1987) at Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home, Chesterton. The Rev. Christopher Armiger will officiate. Burial will be in Chesterton Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Witte was born May 5, 1915, in Gary, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Osterman. She had lived in the Chesterton area all of her life. On Dec. 14, 1935, in Chesterton, she married Everette A. Witte, who died May 1, 1984.
Surviving are a son, William Witte, Chesterton; a daughter, Beverly Greener, Fort Collins, Colo.; four grandchildren; a brother, Wilbert Osterman, Gary, Ind.; and two sisters, Margaret Clem, Mesa, Ariz., and Florence Kaeff, Palos Hills, Ill. Her parents, two brothers and four sisters are deceased.
Mrs. Witte was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a past member of Sigma Alpha Sorority.
