Mrs. Mabel Grace Stephenson, 82, Tonganoxie, died December 13 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born in Tonganoxie and had lived there her entire life. Mrs. Stephenson was a school teacher until she retired in 1964. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Rinda Chapter 82 of the Order of Eastern Star, Civic Study Club, Parental Study Club, W.S.C.S. and E.H.U.
She is survived by one son, William J. Stephenson, Tonganoxie, four sisters, Mrs. Esther Templin, Escondido, California, Mrs. Jessie Bolte, Lenexa, Mrs. Muriel Petrie, Basehor, Mrs. Ruth McHenry, McLouth; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were December 16 at the United Methodist Church in Tonganoxie; burial in Hubbel Hill Cemetery.
