William Eugene Magee, age 65, former Mayor of Franklinton, died Fri. April 12th of heart ailment. He was the proprietor of the Franklinton Ice Co. which he started 35 yrs. ago. Survivors: wife Mrs. Clara Bateman Magee, 7 daus. Mrs. W. D. Holmes, Mrs. John Warren, Mrs. Melville Schumacher & Mrs. W. J. Richardson all of Franklinton, Mrs. W. D. Simmons of Seymour TX, Mrs. F. L. Stringer, Hammond & Mrs. F. A. Consterdine of New Orleans, 2 sons William Eugene Jr. & Richard C. Magee both of Franklinton. Funeral service held Sun. at the Franklinton Bapt. Church, interment in the Ellis Cem.
