Sarah C. Cain is dead at 75; funeral Sunday.

Mrs. Sarah Catherine Cain, 75, died at her home seven miles northeast of Union City in Darke county at 7 o'clock last night, death following a paralytic stroke suffered last Sunday. She had been in failing health since May.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 p. m. (EWT) at the Lightsville church in charge of Rev. Noble Schlechty. Burial will be in the Lisbon cemetery. The body will be returned from the Brooks funeral home in Union City to the residence where friend's may call after noon Saturday.

Mrs. Cain was born in Nebraska, September 11, 1867, the daughter of J. A. and Judith (Davis) Pierce. On September 20, 1884, she was married to J. M. Cain, who died 16 years ago.

Surviving are five children, Mrs. Laura Coblentz, Mrs. Sylvia Coblentz, and Mrs. Ralph Hampshire, all of Union City route 1, John Cain of Portland and Wilbur Cain of Pennsville; one brother, E. P. Pierce of Union City route 1; thirty grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

John and Sarah had 10 children.
