AMOS GRAVES BURIED IN NEWBERG SATURDAY

Funeral services were held in Newberg last week for Amos Amanso Graves, 77, who
died in Chico, Cal., after an illness of several years. A resident of Yamhill
County for many years, the deceased was born in Minnesota on February 10, 1867,
and came to Oregon when he was a young man. He lived in Newberg for more than 55
years.

He was married to Mauda E. Warner of Amity. His widow and two children, Ezra G.
of Dundee and Esther Ruth Erb of Chico, Cal., survive. Also two brothers,
Gilbert of Oregon City and J.C. Graves of Newberg; two sisters, Miss Lulu Graves
and Mrs. Myrtle Atkinson, both of Newberg. Also a number of nieces and nephews
and other close relatives and friends.

On Sunday afternoon, May 21, a short service was held at the funeral parlors in
Chico for relatives and friends who could not attend the services at Newberg.
Rev. Archer, former pastor and friend of the family, conducted the service.
