He was born August 31, 1892, in New Holstein, son of John E. and Margaret Roeh Griem.
He graduated from New Holstein High School and Milwaukee Business College. Mr. Griem worked for Lauson Engine Division in New Holstein and Ford Motor Co. until illness forced his retirement. He was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving is a brother, Walter B. Griem of Madison. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service was held at Erbe-Evjen Funeeral Home, New Holstein. The Rev. Albert K. Borns pastor of St. John United Church of Christ, officiated. Burial was in New Holstein Cemetery.
