Carl B. Keel
Carl Byron KEEL, 84, of 1226 Washington St., died at 6:30 p.m. Monday at South Bend St. Joseph Hospital where he had been admitted earlier in the day.
Mr. Keel was born Dec. 4, 1895 in Fishers to Charles and Mary BACON KEEL. He had lived here in his youth and returned to this area in 1964 from Fort Wayne and Detroit. He was married Jan. 20, 1921 in Rochester to Isabelle C. CARLTON, who survives. He was an auditor and office manager for the former Rochester Bridge Co. and had been associated with the industrial catering services for the Dodge Corp. for many years, retiring in 1964. He was a member of the Rochester Grace United Methodist Church and had served in the U.S. Army in World War I. He was a member of the Rochester Kiwanis and was a treasurer for the Fulton County Republican Party for 9 years.
Surviving with the wife are a daughter, Mrs. John (Carolyn) HANNA, Atlanta, Ga. three grandchildren, Mrs. Martha FORTIER, Quebec, Canada; Mrs. Peggy HELLWIG, Durham, N.C., and Jack HANNA, Charlotte, N.C.; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Parents and a brother preceded in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Foster & Good Funeral Home with the Rev. F. G. KUEBLER officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday and until the hour of service Thursday.

Private services will be held Thursday in the Foster & Good Funeral Home for Carl KEEL, 84, of 1226 Washington St., who died at 6:30 p.m. Monday in a South Bend hospital following a fall. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-9 p.m. today. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
