Pioneer Settler in Custer County Dies
Broken Bow, Nebr., Febr. 26 - Warren R. Johnson, an old time settler of Custer county, suddenly passed away at the home of his son, Port Johnson, on Monday afternoon near Callaway, Nebr. Mr. Johnson in company with his wife and son, Clifford, had gone to his son's home to spend the day apparently in good health and without warning suddenly was seized with apoplexy and died instantly. He was a resident of Custer county for more than forty years, having lived at New Helena and Callaway, where he was a leading farmer and rancher but for the past few years has resided in Broken Bow, having retired from active duties.

Definite arrangements have not yet been made for the funeral services but it is presumed that he will be laid to rest in Callaway.
