Mrs. A. W. Rogers
News of her death came as a shock to the many friends of Mrs, A. W. Rogers, who passed away at the Osteopathic hospital in Wichita Thursday evening at 9:30 o'clock. Mrs. Rogers underwent a major operation about ten days ago and was apparently doing nicely when an embolism took her life without a moment's notice.
Mrs. Rogers was one of the loyal and faithful workers in the Congreational church. Not only was she loved by the members of that congregation, but by all who came in contact with her. A devoted wife and mother, kind neighbor and a true friend of those in need she will be greatly missed in the community and neighborhood in which she has lived.
Etta Eliza Moulton was born in Iowa, a daughter of Moses and Kate [Raber] Moulton on March 8, 1872 making her 57 years, nine months and 24 days. She was married on March 8, 1893 at Forrest, Ill., to Albert Willmer Rogers and to this union were born five children, four of whom survive. One daughter died in infancy. Surviving children are Harold, Walter and Mrs. James [Rosetta] LaGree all of Newton, and Howard of St. Louis.
Mrs. Rogers will be taken from the Sprinker Mortuary to her home 715 Kansas Ave. on Sunday afternoon. The funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon a 2:30 at the Congregational church, The Rev. Fred Smith in charge. Entombment will be in Greenwood Abbey.
