BOGALUSA n Shirley Ann Mizell, 59, a resident of Bogalusa, died yesterday in her home.
She is survived by her husband, Michael L. Williams of Bogalusa; a daughter, Stacey
Mizell of Bogalusa; a son, Jeff Penton of Bush; three sisters, Betty Jo Provost of
Bush, Mildred Freeman of Bogalusa, and Diane Strahan of Sun; five brothers, Fred
Wells Jr. of Sun, David Wells, Bobby Wells, both of Bogalusa, Glenn Wells of
Denham Springs, and Jerry Wells of Texas; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon K. Penton; and her parents, Fred
and Mary Ester Williams.
Visitation will be held today at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5-10 p.m. and
tomorrow from 10 a.m. until the chapel funeral service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Frank
Gutierrez will officiate and interment will follow in Pounds Cemetery.
