The rosary was recited at the family residence east of Perryton church Tuesday. Funeral mass was held at St. Anthony's Catholic church, Matherville at 9 p. m. Wednesday. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery.
Mr. Boyles was born Aug. 16, 1881, in Perryton township, a son of the late Wallace and Lydia Boyles. He received his education in Mercer county schools. He married Eliza Agnes Lucas Jan. 15, 1908 in Keithsburg. He was a member of St. Anthony's church, Matherville.
Surviving are the widow; two sons, Francis and Paul, both of Reynolds; a daughter, Miss Helen Boyles, Rock Island; six grandchildren, a brother, Cicero Boyles, and a sister, Mrs. Cora Eberhart, both of Reynolds, and two nieces.
His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.
