Dollie Deloris Matherly, age 74, died Monday June 29, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 11, 1934 in Stonebluff, OK to Willie and Edna (Nelson) Lowther. She grew up in the Haskell community and lived many years in Stroud. She moved to Mustang, OK in 2001.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Nelson, Carl and Ed, one sister Minnie and one grandson Jaeman.
Survivors include six sons Mike Matherly and wife Charlotte of Battlesboro, NC, Monte Matherly and wife Julie of Wyandotte, OK, Ron Miller and wife Anther of Stroud, OK, Erick Miller and wife Lillie of Pryor, OK, Grant Miller and wife Jane of Stroud, OK and Galan Matherly and wife C-Ann of Mustang and four daughters Cathy Smith of Pryor, OK, Charlotte Slemp and husband Jim of Bristow, OK, Franie Farley and husband Vernon of Gypsy, OK and Gala Matherly and husband Nick of Stillwater, OK. She is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Thursday July 2, 2009 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd, McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, OK with interment following at Mustang Cemetery.
