Anne Berit Dahl Throneberry, 68, of Decatur passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born March 18, 1941, in Norway to Egil Dahl and Berit Nilsen Dahl.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Callahan officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Throneberry retired from the Austin High School cafeteria in 1999. She was a member of Chapel Baptist Church. Anne will be remembered for being a warm, kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Russell Throneberry; two sons, Michael and wife, Leighann, and Steven "Ste-bo" and wife, Elyse; four grandchildren, Meaghan, Anna Grace, Chandler and Grayson Throneberry; one great-grandchild, Rylan Throneberry; one sister, Elin Laegreid, and husband, Sigurd, of Bergen, Norway; and her nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Throneberry, Scotty Throneberry, Ben Higdon and Bengie Solley.
